Filter Recycling

Save 50% or more by recycling used industrial air filters

Reduce operating maintenance costs without sacrificing performance or equipment protection. Most industrial air intake and dust collector filters can be recycled and used many times. The cost to recycle is normally a fraction of the cost of a new filter.

Types of filters that can be recycled:

BEFORE

AFTER

  • Dust collector cartridges
  • Compressor intake filters
  • Engine air intake filters found on off-road vehicles
  • Vacuum intake filters
  • Turbine intake filters
  • And many, many more...

We have developed a process that precisely cleans the entire surface area of the filter cartridge, removing all dust and debris.

Recycled filter performance is as good as a new filter and oftentimes provides better filtration performance than when the filter was new.

Preliminary inspection

Upon receipt of your filters they are inspected for any obvious damage such as tears or holes in the media which would render the filter unusable. Filters that are undamaged are then marked with a control code which is entered into our database. This control code is used to provide a report to you on how often the same filter is recycled, and acts as a serial number for tracking purposes. Each load of filters you send us will be kept together as a group and will be cleaned and returned to you.

Precision Cleaning

Filters are then precision cleaned to remove all dust and debris without damaging filter media or filter construction. We offer two types of processes either of which is used depending on type of filter, the filter media and the type of contaminant to be removed.

Our wet process utilizes a surfactant cleaner which is used on cartridges with dust containing a high oil mist content.

Our dry cleaning process is used for filters from applications where the caked dust is relatively dry and free from oil. Either process gets the filter back to a minimum 98% of the new filter element condition based upon the manufacturers air flow/pressure drop rating of the new filter. Cost for recycling is usually about 30 - 40% of the cost of a new filter. Filters can usually be recycled many times over so the savings over a period of time can be significant.

Post Cleaning Inspection and Testing

After cleaning we test the filter to assure that it meets the expected flow and clean pressure drop. Each filter is then tested again with a high intensity light to identify any minute flaws which may allow by-pass of contaminants.

Packaging and Shipping

Filters that are cleaned and pass quality testing are then packaged in heavy-duty cartons just like the new filters and labeled according to your instructions and shipped back to you. We also ship back any filters that we find were damaged upon Preliminary Inspection with a report of the damage found.

Reporting

With each shipment of filters you will receive a quality control report listing each filter by its control code. We will also provide a report on any concerns we note while inspecting and cleaning the filters.
